We are seeking a Design Manager to serve as the Primary Engineering Representative and lead multi-disciplinary technical teams at SA Water. Your responsibilities for this opportunity
Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.
Take responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others including your own fitness for work (e.g. under the influence of drugs, alcohol and/or fatigue).
Act as multi-disciplinary design manager to lead technical teams in delivering consistent, value-for-money, accurate and timely technical information/outputs across SA Water.
Work with the wider Engineering Delivery, Studies and Solutions teams to develop and resource accurate scopes of work, in the timely development of cost and work breakdown structures for multi-disciplinary projects.
Work closely with the Manager Engineering Delivery to create a work based personal development plan, with clear milestones and measurables for success.
Ensure all designs developed and advice given is in accordance with necessary standards and guidelines.
Your success in this role will come from:
A professional (i.e., B.Eng) engineering qualification in a relevant discipline.
Associate Diploma of Project Management and/or Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management or Business Management or other related areas or relevant equivalent experience in project coordination/management.
Experience in engineering design, design review and development and review of infrastructure standards with sound analytical skills and demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate and solve problems.
Leadership Presence: Ability to inspire and lead teams, driving high performance in challenging business environment and engagement.
Strategic Thinking: Strong planning skills with the ability to develop and implement effective design delivery strategies.
Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
Innovation: Ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to improve design efficiency and project delivery.
Experience in the preparation of professional reports and technical writing.
Experience in the auditing of reports and designs prepared by others.
