Job Description As an Electrical Design Manager, you will lead the design of high-quality, technically advanced electrical infrastructure systems for Australia's largest renewable energy and energy transition projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to nationally significant developments, including the integration of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar farms into the grid, supporting Australia's transition to a greener future.
You will design and implement advanced electrical systems, lead technical innovation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of reliable and sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a design team to develop innovative electrical designs for energy infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with Australian standards.Oversee all aspects of electrical design, including high-voltage systems, protection schemes, and integration with renewable energy sources.Work closely with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of design projects.Develop and implement design strategies that meet technical, safety, and environmental requirements.Provide technical insights, cost estimates, and design proposals during tendering and project execution.Conduct technical reviews and ensure all design documentation meets industry standards and client requirements.Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers, fostering their professional growth and development.Stay informed on the latest advancements in electrical design technology and incorporate best practices into your projects.Required Skills and Competencies Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical design for energy infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.Proven project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results.In-depth knowledge of electrical systems design, protection schemes, and renewable energy integration.Strong understanding of Australian standards and regulatory requirements for electrical infrastructure projects.Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or eligibility for chartered status is highly desirable.Why Join ACCIONA?
