Design Manager

Successful, reputable and established builder/developerNewly created role in newly established teamIconic high rise projectsOur client is a leading Australian developer/builder, with blue chip ownership. They are currently seeking an experienced Design Manager to manage an ongoing pipeline of high rise projects.
Reporting to the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Oversee and lead projects from tender and conceptual design to project completionManage and coordinate the design of large scale multi-residential projectsScoping of works and consultant engagementProvide value added input to achieve budget constraints during tender and concept design phaseLead design meetings and coordinate design documents Collaborate with the architect to provide efficient and quality design detailsIdentify design inefficiencies and provide creative, cost-effective solutions Coordination of design documents with authority approvals and reports, including BCA, fire engineering, energy efficiency, etc.Review, coordinate and sign off shop drawingsProvide advice and assistance to the site team during the construction phaseOur ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in a similar role, working on high rise residential projects. You should have a degree in architecture or similar, and a strong understanding of local building and planning codes, regulations and the development assessment process. We also need a strong communicator who can manage multiple projects effectively and prioritise critical tasks.
