WISE Employment is seeking a Design Manager to join our Marketing and Communications Team on a fixed Term (Maternity Cover) basis until August 2025.
This is a Hybrid/remote role with occasional (usually monthly) meetings at our North Melbourne office.
This role requires a mix of creative skills and commercial awareness.
The Design Manager is the brand guardian for the WISE suite of brands, and responsible for ongoing brand direction in conjunction with the Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications.
The Design Manager manages the design team
and associated workflows.
To be considered, you must: Have worked a minimum 8 years' in the graphic design field.

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a design team.
Extensive knowledge of current graphic design practices and trends, and social media communication tools.
Experienced in the coordination of the design, development and delivery of graphic design for a diverse organisation with a portfolio of brands.
Strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into innovative creative solutions.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Passion for staying ahead of industry trends and a drive to continuously push creative boundaries.
Highly developed creative and written communication skills.
Detailed orientated mindset with a commitment to delivering high quality work and ensuring accuracy and consistency through the creative and production process.
Demonstrated ability to effectively present ideas – both verbally and visually.
Experience in managing and overseeing signage Demonstrated problem-solving ability, including developing creative solutions to marketing challenges and innovative ways to promote WISE services.
Ability to share expertise and knowledge in order to develop others including strong motivational and communication skills.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to participate positively and constructively as part of a team to achieve tasks.
Proficiency in creative software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud e.g.
Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Proficiency in project management software such as Asana for overseeing creative projects and workflow.
A day in the role involves… Develop and implement the creative vision for all WISE brands, ensuring it aligns with our brand identity and business objectives.
Manage the complete suite of WISE Employment brands, including developing and managing brand guidelines and associated policies.
Conceptualise and execute impactful and cohesive branding initiatives across multiple channels, including digital, print, social media, signage and experiential.
Oversee the creation of compelling visual assets (including graphics, videos, animations, and photography) that effectively communicate our brand story and resonate with our target audiences.
Manage, design and co-ordinate signage for national sites through external
suppliers.
Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure consistent brand messaging and seamless integration of creative campaigns.
Lead and manage the Design Team.
Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to team members, encouraging their professional growth and ensuring the highest quality of work.
Manage relationships with external creative agencies, freelancers, and
vendors, ensuring deliverables are met on time, within budget and adhere to brand guidelines.
Manage all graphic design queries, developments and decisions.
Ensure the timely delivery of quality graphic design advice, services, policies, procedures and systems to the business meeting organisational needs and within budget.
Meet with internal stakeholders and members of the Marketing and
Communications department to discuss, interpret and develop design briefs to meet business needs.
Maintain graphic design records and provide accurate and relevant reports.
