Design Lead - Sydney - Solidworks

My client is highly regarded globally for the ideas, designs, solutions and manufactured displays which they provide to their valued brands and retail clients.

About You

Adept at leading a design team.
Exceptional Solidworks skills.
Experienced with designing product(s) from concept through to production and installation.
Skilled with BOM's and designing for manufacture.
A Degree in Industrial Design (or similar) will be viewed favorably.
Highly developed written & verbal communication skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Strong leadership skills.

What you will be doing:

Leading a skilled Design Team - people, quality, process, function, etc.
Ensuring that client demands are fulfilled profitably.
Overseeing concept development and design engineering, through to final production.
Scheduling of projects and ensuring designs conform to standards.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Managing team - progression, development, retention, etc.
Reporting as is necessary.
Other tasks as defined by the GM Global Head of Design and Operations.
