Fast-growing, innovative, technology-led design and manufacturer, based in Sydney is looking for a Design Engineer to join the technical manufacturing team. The Role
Delivery of projects from briefing through to production in a fast-paced product/tooling development environmentTimely design of moulds, tools, automation, jigs, fixtures, and gaugesApplication of CAD skills to deliver design projects in a timely and cost-effective mannerTimely creation of engineering drawingsAssisting other departments with design for manufacture of componentsEnsuring a smooth flow of information to the tooling and manufacturing teams
Your Skills and Experience
Engineering trade or relevant engineering tertiary qualification preferredSignificant experience in tooling, with a focus on injection moulding and automation design; from simple end-of-arm tooling to lights out automation cellsSignificant experience in parametric design and simulation softwareProficiency in VISI CAD/CAM, Solidworks will be beneficialDemonstrated experience and knowledge of engineering draftingDemonstrated understanding of various manufacturing processes: turning, milling, grinding, wire-cut, EDM, injection moulding, pressure die castingPractical knowledge of metals/plastics, properties, and finishingProficiency in process formulation and improvementGood written and verbal communication to all internal and external stakeholdersMeticulous attention to detail and the ability to multi-taskKnowledge of WH&S standardsBenefits
