The Branch focuses on service outcomes when deriving solutions to be delivered through assets, operations, or a combination, to satisfy the specific need or council policy/direction.Contributing to the success of this Branch, the Design Engineer Project Officer is responsible for managing outsourced designs and external advice to identify and resolve technical issues that will affect delivery of the designs.Primarily, you will:Manage the design of infrastructure projects and priority projects for the region.Identify project anomalies and risks by applying a due diligence approach, and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to the design.Provide proactive technical design advice (under RPEQ Supervision) to council officers.Support and supervise the allocated Civil Designers resources to deliver the designs required for the capital works program.About youAs a professional in this field, you will be well-versed in strong project management experience with a focus on project development, economic analysis, and financial management.
You will have demonstrated leadership skills to lead and coach other staff in the team.
