Design Engineer/Draftsperson

We are seeking a Design Engineer/Draftsperson with a strong background in Agricultural and Industrial products to join our team on a full-time basis at our Toowoomba Facility.Gessner is a leading Australian-based agricultural and industrial design and manufacturing company, with a reputation for delivering the highest quality services in the specialist fields of agricultural and heavy industrial equipment for domestic and international markets.The roleThe primary function of this position is to develop and model mechanical designs, ensuring the manufacturing team are fully informed through accurate and detailed technical drawings.The Design Engineer/Draftsperson will be responsible for providing drafting in the design, fabrication, and assembly of each product, with responsibilities including:Product DevelopmentDesign and modelling of new components and assembliesUse of 3D sketches and parametric modellingUpdating and revising existing assembly models and drawingsContributing to research and developmentSite measuringLiaising with clients with regard to designThe successful candidate will have:Demonstrated relevant design and drafting experience in a manufacturing contextBackground in Agricultural products design highly beneficialExperience with Solidworks essentialStrong time management and organisation skills to ensure the tight project schedules and deliverables are metOur organisation highly values commitment to the role, initiative, attention to detail, and integrity in all of its employees.
