We are seeking a full-time Design Draftsperson to join our team to service our clients across Australia. Minimum QualificationsThe suitable applicant will possess:
Completed or completing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.Diploma of Engineering will be an advantage.Experience working with 3D CAD, SolidWorks.Knowledge and design experience with steel fabrication, machining, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems is preferred.Experience in the agricultural sector is preferred but not required.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, design, and draft new products and product upgrades on predominantly Cattle Handling Equipment.Full product lifecycle from initiation through to completion.Working with the production team to allocate parts to jobs and stage for production.General modeling and drafting on SolidWorks.Produce detailed manufacturing drawings.Inspect designs and finished products for compliance with job specifications.Complete product testing and trials.Perform basic administrative duties such as updating data and BOMs.Assist in the costing and sourcing of materials.Work with the production team to improve manufacturing processes and develop new tooling and fixtures.Create and edit instruction manuals and technical service bulletins.Attributes and QualificationsYou must have the following attributes and qualifications:
A thorough understanding of drafting principles using 3D mechanical drafting software / SolidWorks, PDM.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Hands-on proactive attitude.For further information, please email.
