Advitech is seeking a Design Draftsperson – Civil/Structural to join our team of drafters. In this role, you will contribute to structural and mechanical projects for a diverse mix of clients and industry sectors.ResponsibilitiesPreparing 3D models, technical drawings, plans, and designs for mechanical, structural, and civil work with the guidance of experienced drafters and engineers.Preparing drawings including detail and assembly drawings, bills of material, general arrangement, sub-assembly, and component drawings.Conducting site inspections of client sites alongside experienced drafters and engineers and working with clients to develop conceptual design solutions to diverse problems.Reviewing and signing-off designs and associated documentation prepared by other team members.Assisting in the project costing and tender and quote preparation.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will meet the following essential criteria:Drafting certificate or engineering diploma with between 3 and 10 years of industrial experience.Familiarity with modelling and drafting in the Autodesk environment (e.g., AutoCAD and Inventor).Strong verbal and written communication skills.Civil/Structural design drafters meeting the following desirable criteria will be considered favourably:Mechanical trade background (e.g., fabrication, fitting, machining).Familiarity with Autodesk Revit & Advanced Steel.About the PositionPosition Type: Full Time – flexible work practices apply for this roleReports To: Drafting Group LeaderLocation: Advitech office, located in the Emergent Group Headquarters, Mayfield West (Newcastle).Salary: Competitive salary plus superannuation and generous income protection insurance, wellbeing vouchers, referral program bonus, overtime options, and monthly lunches.Benefits of Working HereAdvitech provides high-level engineering and environmental services, advice, and management across sectors.
