About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Design and Technologies Teacher to join the St Andrew's community in a full-time ongoing role, commencing January 2025.
In this role you will create a classroom environment that instils innovative design thinking and real-world problem-solving in our students while ensuring a culture of safety.
Your guidance will empower students to develop critical skills such as collaboration, creativity, and resilience, preparing them for future education and careers in an ever-changing landscape.
What you will do:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Year 7-10 Australian Curriculum and QCAA Senior Syllabus.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning and promotes personal capacity.
Regularly assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and their families.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
Contribute to the co-curricular life of the College.
Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.
What you bring:
Current QCT registration.
Proven experience teaching ACARA Year 7 – 10 Design and Technologies and Digital Technologies.
QCAA Year 11 & 12 - Design (General) and/or Industrial Technology (Applied) an advantage.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their academic potential and use critical thinking.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
