Design And Communications Lead

6+6+6 Month Federal Government Contract ACT or NSW based with WFH Baseline Clearance required Our Federal Government Client is looking for a Design and Visual Communication Lead, required to work closely with highly skilled and multidisciplinary teams within the branch and division - translating policy principles and requirements as well as complex datasets and reports into effective design, prototyping these and building outstanding communication products to support the DTA's assurance oversight mandate. The work will also include developing reporting artefacts that need to cater to varying levels of audiences - including Ministers and the Australian public. This includes working closely with the senior executive teams to understand nuanced policy requirements and then designing products to clearly articulate these, often at short notice and to urgent timeframes. Essential criteria Demonstrable experience designing, developing, and delivering high-quality design products to communicate complex topics to various audiences, evidenced by a portfolio of prior work. Proven expert level skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), as well as the ability to work with standard business productivity software such as Word and PowerPoint. Proven ability to proactively contribute, add value, innovate and shape thinking across a range of creative projects. Minimum five (5) years prior experience in a design and visual communication role, providing similar services in a policy implementation context (or a context characterised by high levels of complexity and change).
