Spirit of Tasmania is one of Australia's most iconic travel experiences, and a vital connection between mainland Australia and Tasmania. Operated by TT-Line, Spirit of Tasmania's twin ships operate sailings between Geelong and Devonport, employing more than 600 staff and transporting over 430,000 passengers annually.
Reporting to the Board, you will lead Spirit of Tasmania, providing strategic and operational leadership, driving operational effectiveness to deliver freight and tourism services, along with prudent financial and commercial management. The business culture, safety of crew, passengers, and the environment are paramount.
This role requires significant stakeholder engagement across government, customers, and the local community. The role requires an experienced leader to oversee the operationalisation of new vessels and infrastructure while utilizing the additional capacity.
Applicants are encouraged from a range of sectors including transport, logistics, and hospitality. You will be a proven CEO/Executive with extensive operational leadership and stakeholder management experience, exhibiting a track record of operational excellence, cultural change, safety, and strategic planning. Relevant degree qualifications are essential, and postgraduate qualifications are desirable.
