Our main clinic is conveniently located in East Melbourne with additional rooms at Pascoe Vale South and soon in Parkville.We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time fixed term 12-month DERMATOLOGY FELLOWSHIP.The OpportunityLocated in Melbourne, we are seeking full-time experienced dermatology fellow, to join our busy Melbourne dermatology clinic at Sinclair Dermatology.The Role Requires The Applicant ToConsult with a variety of adult and paediatric patients in clinic – 10 sessions per weekReview referrals, take medical history, examine, diagnose, treat, prescribe medication and other therapies, screen, assess variety of dermatological conditions, report back to referring doctor.
Maintain patient clinical records, review results and communicate to patients.
Where necessary refer patients to other specialistsPerform non-invasive procedures – biopsies, excisionsDiscuss skin health with patientsWork with our support team of nurses, reception, admin and managers contributing to smooth running of clinicHave excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with an empathetic demeanourBe patient focusedWilling to supervise and mentor more junior colleagues (our Dermatology Fellows)Willing to refer patients to relevant clinical trials, where appropriate.Remuneration package will be based on experience and full employment benefits and entitlements provided.About YouCompleted a minimum of one year dermatology training in Australia or an equivalent international programme, in line with fulfilling requirements of the competent authority pathway to enable APHRA registration.6+ years of practicing as a dermatologist, either in Australia or equivalent jurisdiction.in addition to skin disorders and skin cancers, must have subspeciality experience in treatment of hair disorders including Androgenetic Alopecia, Alopecia Areata, CCA, FDS, DLE including most up-to-date treatments such as PRP and medication regimesRemuneration Range: $160,000 per annum plus superannuationAdditional requirements:Immediate startWillingness to travel between clinic locationsHow to applyUsing the "Apply Now" button, please include your resume and a brief cover letter (1-2 pages) broadly outlining your experience and how it directly relates to the position.The process from hereShortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview conducted by a selection panel.
