About Us The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes.

About the Role The successful candidate will be one of two Deputy Registrars within the Division. The Deputy Registrars will work together to lead,manage anddevelop the performance of the registry, comprising of two team leaders, a subject matter expert, compliance officer and 19 administrative officers, under the guidance of the Registrar.
Over the past 2 years the Division has had a high turnover of staff and has required a strong focus on training and development. The Deputy Registrar is responsible for assisting the TeamLeaders in developing and delivering inductions and staff training.
The role also has the responsibility for the management of complex files or enquiries, actively identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and performs functions as a delegate of the Principal Registrar including issuing of a summons, determining fee relief applications and ordering the strike out of a VCAT application where appropriate.
The successful candidate will report to the Registrar and will work closely with their co-Deputy Registrar and Head of Division to support anddrive initiatives throughout the Division. This role will require you to be a people leader and to develop your knowledge of the jurisdiction, its processes, procedures and systems.
