As Deputy Registrar, you have a unique opportunity to actively contribute to modernising and improving the court system in Queensland. You will execute a broad range of court and registry duties across criminal and civil jurisdictions, managing staff, and providing comprehensive services and administrative support to internal and external stakeholders.
As a Deputy Registrar you will: Contribute and provide effective supervision to the registry team, ensuring a supportive and cohesive workplace environment for all staff; Support the Registrar in the efficient management of daily operations, including the coordination of court proceedings and delivery of services, including the preparation and processing of complex court matters; Recognise and action any presented risks relating to Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV), including anti-social behaviours of court users by collating available information and escalating to senior colleagues while ensuring your direct reports are supported; Keep court stakeholders at the heart of service delivery and respond to their needs in a trauma-informed and compassionate manner, ensuring the prompt resolution of enquiries, requests, issues, and complaints; Contribute to maintaining a culture of excellence in service delivery, fostering innovation, and promoting continuous improvement; Ensure compliance with all administrative systems including maintaining data integrity and adhering to established processes policies and procedures, and legislation. This includes setting clear objectives and guidelines, monitoring performance indicators, implementing corrective actions as necessary, and regularly reviewing procedures for optimal efficiency; Cultivate and nurture professional and collaborative relationships based on respectful and confidential engagement with key stakeholders including judiciary members and their staff, government agencies, self-represented litigants, and the general public to provide effective service delivery and support; Maintain an in-depth understanding of services, including referral pathways to other Government and third-party services, and relay appropriate knowledge to meet stakeholder requirements; Foster a culture of continuous learning, goal achievement, self-reflection and motivation within the registry team while reinforcing contemporary knowledge, practices and responsiveness to constructive feedback and guidance; Support the Registrar with implementation of transparent financial, human resource, data and risk management practices to ensure accountability and efficiency; Support the Registrar in various areas including workforce planning, performance management, staff development and the provision of timely and constructive feedback to direct reports thereby contributing to the achievement of strategic and operational goals.
