The rare opportunity to learn from one of the best and support the project objectives as Deputy Project Director at our 2-year-old train manufacturing site at Bellevue, Perth has arisen.
This is an exciting leadership role for a key infrastructure project, committed to boosting the Western Australian economy through local supplier, contractors, equipment vendors and content.
The position reports directly to the Project Director and has a close working relationship in the delivery of work for the Project across all facets of project delivery, finance, resources, contractual obligations, safety and customer expectations.
Internal and external stakeholders, clients and team members are of the utmost importance in this role and the continuation and extension of collaborative, transparent and mutually beneficial relationships will be critical.
Several key milestones are upcoming for the Project and will require the confident, steady leadership to guide the organisation whilst still seeking out opportunities in key deliverables and performance indicators.
The role is looking for you to;
Be accountable for the delivery of the project taking responsibility for key commercial decisions.
Take an active role in embodying and promoting the core Alstom values and contract specific social procurement targets.
Manage customer and external stakeholders' relationship, continuously ensuring alignment with customer contractual requirements.
Be responsible for project governance, project strategy and objectives.
Understand and align project activities to contractual requirements and broader organisational objectives.
We are looking to find;
A well proven professional in a similar role, experienced in leading a complex portfolio or project in the railway industry.
Exceptional project management skills.
An authentic leader who empowers their team, fosters open communication and encourages solutions oriented thinking.
Passionate about building and fostering sustainable relationships with advanced influence and negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial and commercial outcomes.
A proactive, strategic thinker with a collaborative working style and ability to coach others, identify risks and promote a safe, inclusive working culture.
