An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and flexible educational leader to join the Urangan State High School executive leadership team as Deputy Principal, on a temporary full-time basis for Semester 1 2025 (unless otherwise determined).

Urangan State High School is seeking applications for an enthusiastic and flexible educational leader to join our executive leadership team as Deputy Principal.
Our award-winning school has a population of approximately 1500 students from Year 7 to Year 12.
With a focus on implementing the curriculum with fidelity, Urangan State High School has a late start for students every Monday and Friday so that our teachers can collaboratively plan curriculum with alignment and precision.
About the Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.Deputise for the Principal when required.Uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activity.Embed socially just practices in daily school life.Set high standards for student and staff performance.How to Apply Please attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant previous work history); andA 2-page written statement in response to the attached role description.Applications remain current for 12 months from the closing date and may be considered for appointment to identical or similar vacancies within the Department.
