Urangan Point State School is located close to the amazing Urangan Pier and only a short walk to the beautiful Hervey Bay foreshore. Urangan Point State School is a small, well-equipped school with proud cultural and historical roots. We are a choice in the Hervey Bay area due to our excellence in teaching and learning, rapidly improving student outcomes, a strong focus on discipline, and high expectations on student attendance and uniform standards. About the Role: Appointments in the public sector are merit-based and will be assessed by looking at what you have done previously—the knowledge, skills, and experience you have built, your potential for development, and your personal qualities.
Responsibilities include: Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.Deputise for the Principal when required.Uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical, and moral activity.Embed socially just practices in daily school life.Set high standards for student and staff performance.Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry, and business.Be futures-oriented and strategic.Understand the legislation and policies that impact schooling.Manage resources to achieve goals.Please view the Role Description for a full list of responsibilities.
