We are seeking applications from an experienced leader for the role of Deputy Principal – Secondary.
About you A highly motivated and passionate Christian leader with a proven track record in secondary education. Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to translate vision into action. A commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships. A collaborative leader with the ability to act decisively when required. Actively involved in your local church and committed to the ethos of Christian education. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement up-to-date programs to support student well-being and growth. Provide instructional and pastoral leadership to create engaging learning environments. Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum and other relevant school leaders to create and implement effective school policies that foster academic success. Manage and mentor secondary staff, fostering a positive and professional working culture. Contribute to the overall management and operation of the school. Essential Criteria Educational Leadership Proven experience in secondary education leadership roles. Strong understanding of current educational trends, policies, and best practices. Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to improve student outcomes. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of educators effectively. Instructional Leadership Expertise in curriculum development, implementation, and assessment. Strong pedagogical knowledge and skills, with a focus on student-cantered learning. Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments. Experience in providing professional development and mentoring to teachers. Pastoral Care Strong commitment to student wellbeing and support. Experience in developing and implementing pastoral care programs. Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider community. Knowledge of child protection and welfare policies and procedures. Christian Leadership Active involvement in a local church and commitment to Christian values. Ability to integrate Christian faith into educational practice. Experience in leading and supporting a school community with a Christian ethos. Other Essential Criteria Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders. Demonstrated commitment to professional development. Applicants will be required to undergo NSW Working with Children check, identification verifications and referee checks.
Remuneration will be in accordance with the current NSW Christian Schools Teaching Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement for a Deputy Principal – Secondary.
