This is a permanent position starting Term 1, 2025.The Deputy Principal will work with the Head of Campus and College Principal to:Improve the educational outcomes of students in the collegeDevelop the quality of teaching and learningNurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and all other internal and external stakeholdersNorthern Peninsula Area State College is situated on the tip of Cape York Peninsula. The College (NPASC) is a K-12 remote Indigenous Community College with 3 campuses. Mary Eseli Injinoo and Bamaga Junior Campuses have Kindy to Year 6, while the Year 7 - 12 secondary student needs are met by the Senior Campus. All campuses are managed by a Head of Campus, with the College Principal overseeing strategic direction.The Northern Peninsula Area State College services students from the communities of Injinoo, Umagico, Bamaga, New Mapoon and Seisia. The communities are situated about 30 kilometres from the tip of Cape York.About the RoleGeneral responsibilities within this role include, but are not limited to:Assist the College Principal and Head of Senior Campus to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all studentsDeputise for the Principal when requiredUphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activityEmbed socially just practices in daily school lifeSet high standards for student and staff performanceKey responsibilities at the Senior Campus include, but are not limited to:All timetabling responsibilities including reporting periodsDaily routine including internal relief, supervisions and operational mattersQCAA Principal's DelegateManagement of major behaviour management and case managementLine management of classified officersAbout YouTo fulfill this role you need to:Have previous experience relevant to the rolePreferably have experience working with First Nations familiesPlease refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
