About the Role As the Deputy Principal, your responsibilities will be to:
Lead the implementation of the school's strategic plan, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and academic excellence.Lead staff, across the school and within project teams, to meet Annual Implementation Plan objectives.Demonstrate outstanding communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills to engage stakeholders and drive positive change.Employ effective case management strategies to support student success, holding regular stakeholder meetings to enhance educational outcomes.Manage a variety of strategic portfolios, overseeing initiatives aimed at enhancing student engagement and achievement.Foster a supportive school environment focused on student and staff wellbeing and performance, utilizing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.Champion Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) or multi-tiered systems of support for students, promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.Collaborate with staff, students, and the broader community to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.Organize day-to-day school operations to ensure the smooth and effective running of the school, addressing any operational challenges that may arise.Lead year level teams (including Head of Year, Year Level Coordinator and Student Support personnel) to monitor and improve student attendance, engagement, performance and wellbeing, utilising a variety of data sources (SORD, OnseSchool, TrackEd).Guide student leaders (within the Student Representative Council framework) to enact proactive year level, school, and community activities, building student social capital and wellbeing.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
