Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership and School Community Engagement: Assist the Principal in leading the school community to develop, articulate, and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for students. Deputise for the Principal when required and uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical, and moral activity. Set high standards for student and staff performance and actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development. Form partnerships with parents, govt. agencies, community groups, industry, and business to support school objectives. Curriculum Management: Oversee the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based pedagogical practices in classrooms underpinned through V9 of the Australian Curriculum. Inclusive Practices: Oversee the delivery of high-quality case management and pedagogical support provided by the Inclusion Program Professional Development: Facilitate & coordinate professional development opportunities for staff, ensuring access to departmental and external resources. Oversee the fidelity of Berry Street Education Model strategies and Positive Behaviour for Learning approaches to enhance student engagement and outcomes. Embed socially just practices in daily school life and be futures-oriented and strategic. Understand/ apply legislation and policies impacting schooling. Manage resources effectively to achieve goals. Foster a workplace that embraces diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences, where everyone feels they belong. Discuss/ document reasonable adjustments to support human rights and diversity across the workforce. Ideal candidate will have following qualifications and skills:
Experience in curriculum management and pedagogical leadership. Understanding of the Australian Curriculum V9 and its implementation. Expertise in managing and advising on reasonable adjustments for students. Experience in facilitating professional development and leading school-wide initiatives. Strong leadership capabilities, with a focus on ethical practices and strategic vision.
