Join the Civmec Team This role is to support the Management Team in the acceleration stages of our Greenfields scope.
Whilst this role is ideal for a Deputy Project Manager to step into a busy role and take the reins, a highly motivated and high achieving Senior Project Engineer could also be considered for this opportunity.
You will be responsible for coordination and leadership in construction and management while liaising with the Project Manager daily on matters relevant to the project execution.
Located in the Pilbara, you will be working with a well established team on a 2:1 FIFO roster.
The Role Establishes and empowers the Project Leadership Team to achieve their project objectives, roles and responsibilities, and delegates appropriate levels of authority.
Implement and work to the safety and quality management systems procedures and work instructions.
Ensure Head Contract notifications are issued in accordance with the contract.
Monitor progress against the baseline schedule and implement corrective actions where necessary to mitigate slippage.
Monitor cost budgets and update monthly cost forecasting.
Monitor completions and quality functions of work.
Control and coordination of execution of the project within limits of authority.
Ensure the company's objectives and policies are adhered to.
Encourage a culture of continuous improvement of the company's procedures.
Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed.
Clearly defines and communicates all roles, responsibilities and performance targets for direct reports and approves position descriptions for all project staff.
Monitor and motivate the project team ensuring delivery of product on time and in compliance with client specifications.
Regularly monitors, reviews and reports financial performance against the approved budget.

About You To be successful in the role you will possess the following: Tertiary qualification in structural, mechanical, civil engineering or construction management is essential.
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role is preferred.
Established experience and knowledge in the application and establishment of project planning, scheduling budgeting, resource allocation and cost control tools is essential.
Proven leadership abilities, values drives, excellent communicator.
Responsible attitude to HSE, lead by example and always promote a proactive approach to health and safety.
Knowledge of relevant software and tools.
Experience in Steel Fabrication engineering or management is seen as beneficial.
