Deputy ManagerDuties:To join a team of residential care staff ensuring that safe and appropriate care practices are maintained at all times.To support the staff team in all aspects of the establishment's operation.To maintain positive childcare practice, in keeping with the aims and objectives of the establishment.To provide a safe, warm, and supportive environment to our Young People.To maintain a regular system of recording in connection with each young person.To be involved in the implementation of care plans.To assist in the provision of reports when required.To attend Review and planning meetings when required.To promote and maintain high standards of cleanliness.To participate in the general activities of the establishment and to use any personal skills you may have to maximize opportunity for each resident.To make outside contacts both individually and through various activities developed within and outside of the establishment.To undertake delegated household duties as required.To undertake regular supervision sessions as required.To attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.To accept responsibility for such monies as may be required in the carrying out of your duties.To undertake sleeping-in duties.To comply with the policies, procedures, and practices of the establishment.To respond to emergencies which may arise within the establishment.To be available to cover staff shortfalls and/or operational deficiencies.To provide a positive role model for colleagues and to Young People.To deal with telephone enquiries and undertake administrative duties as required (e.g., log books, Daily information sheets, accident book, incident forms, population returns, etc.).To maintain case file records, including details of assessment plans, decisions, visits, and the implementation and evaluation of action with regard to the care plan.Any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the manager.To play a key role in ensuring that young people receive safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led support that meets their individual needs and helps them achieve positive outcomes.Skills:Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to work collaboratively with staff members, young people, families, and other professionals.Ability to identify problems and find solutions that promote young people's safety, welfare, and well-being.Ability to effectively manage your workload and prioritize tasks according to their importance.Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.Excellent supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage staff members.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.If you are a compassionate individual with a passion for providing high-quality care to young people, we invite you to join our team as a Deputy Manager.
