Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney's North Shore. Ravenswood offers both the HSC and the IB Diploma Programme as well as the Primary Years Programme in the Junior School. We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Head of Junior School – Teaching and Learning to support the Head of Junior School – Deputy Principal in the development, administration and implementation of academic programs in the Junior School. The successful applicant will be a passionate and inspirational educator who will lead teaching teams in the development of curriculum programs using the NSW curriculum and the IB Primary Years Programme frameworks.

This is a permanent, full time position and will commence at the beginning of Term 1, 2025. There is a teaching load associated with this position.

To secure this role the successful applicant will have:

Comprehensive expertise in K-6 teaching, programming, assessment and evaluation of outcomes. Teaching and leadership experience in an IB PYP school is advantageous;A strong understanding of current innovative practices and emerging trends in primary education to ensure the school's curriculum remains progressive and relevant;The ability to develop positive relationships and foster collaboration among teachers and key stakeholders in a K-12 environment;A commitment to Positive Education and wellbeing and a genuine interest in developing expertise in this area; andA genuine desire to work in a committed and professional team within the Christian ethos of the school. Essential criteria:

Qualification in Education and registration with NESA;Proven leadership skills in curriculum development, innovation and management;Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; andAbility to work proactively and collaboratively within a team.
