Position: Deputy Director Partnerships Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $120,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: St Leonards NSW 2065 The Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) is seeking a Deputy Director Partnerships.
Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, you will lead IEP's growth though a range of existing programs and new opportunities.
Existing partners are amongst the best known institution in the world, including the United Nations, the World Bank, European Commission and the OECD.
Other leading organisations that the Institute partners with include World Trade Organisation, Rotary International, World Vision, Commonwealth Secretariat and the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
You are a mid-career professional looking to expand your leadership responsibilities within an organisation experiencing growth.
You are experienced in global affairs and foreign policy with a demonstrated record in leading positive social change.
International experience will be highly regarded.
Duties and Responsibilities: Contribute to the leadership and development of IEP Strategy and planning for IEP and the Partnerships portfolio Contribute to IEP management inclusive of policy development, operational planning, reporting processes, budget management, risk management and mitigation, attraction, recruitment and retention, and other corporate projects and responsibilities.
Leadership across the range of Partnership portfolio responsibilities inclusive of: o IEP Ambassador program o IEP Ambassador community of practice o IEP Ambassador event management o Partnership development and management o Funding opportunities and grant applications o Growth potential such as sponsorship, monetising programs, commercial partnerships.
o Partnership administration systems and practice o Partnership event management o Communications in support of the Partnerships portfolio o Content development and management inclusive of but not limited to: collateral, training aids, reports, newsletters, presentations, web sites, social media and other content needs o Facilitation of Positive Peace workshops o Identifying and securing event opportunities inclusive of conferences, symposiums, forums, labs, round-tables with an emphasis on sourcing strategic and large events o Monitoring and evaluation, including impact assessment of workshops and programs o Research relevant to Positive Peace activation modalities o Partnerships Intern program o Other duties in relation to partnerships.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in a combination of international relations, peace, conflict, security studies or other social sciences discipline Minimum three (3) years' professional experience in a leadership role within a comparable organisation Demonstrated experience in leading small team with high throughput Skilled facilitator, educator, and presenter preferably with international experience with strategic, academic and operational audiences Excellent writing skills.
Experience in business or consulting writing for a non-technical audience will be prioritised over academic publications.
Experienced in developing and managing relationships with partner organisation.
Project management experience Commercial/consulting experience Language, other than English, skills Demonstrated experience in leading successful grant and proposal preparation Relationships management experience with multilateral organisations such as, European Commission, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, World Trade Organisation, and Commonwealth Secretariat Previous experience with the concept of Positive Peace and/or other adaptive peace building approaches.
