Designed around three courtyards with English, French, and tropical garden themes, Tarragal House provides residents with plenty of choices for relaxing with family and friends.About the Role: Thompson Health Care Tarragal House is seeking a Deputy Director of Nursing (DDON) on a full-time basis to join the existing management team which has a Director of Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Education Support and Administration Support Team.You will be based at our Tarragal home, located at 107 Karalta Road, Erina NSW 2250.Main duties and responsibilities:To assist and support the DON with planning, organizing, directing and managing of resources and general administration, to achieve the vision and objectives of Thompson Health Care.Ensure the provision of quality care for all residents that enhances their quality of life.Assist the DON to manage the function of the Nursing Home within budgetary constraints without detriment to resident care.Provide leadership which is creative, supportive, promotes trust and warmth and encourages teamwork.Promote the Nursing Home and the Aged Care Industry to the wider community by participating in industry and educational forums as directed by the DON and Executive Committee and developing relationships within the local community, including holding social activities within the Nursing Home.Encourage and participate in quality activities in preparation for and maintenance of accreditation standards to facilitate continual improvement in the care and services provided.Current registration and license to practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRAMinimum 2 years' experience within an Aged Care Management positionDemonstrated leadership ability with experience as a DDON highly preferred.Able to provide direction and motivate a multi-disciplinary team with a passion to deliver exceptional care and service to the elderly.Ability to ensure that all clinical staff are compliant with code of ethics and legal requirements.Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal skills, human resources and information systems managementPeople enjoy working at Thompson Health Care as we are able to provide staff with a safe and supportive environment.
