The Key Duties of the Position Include:The Role
The Deputy Director – Defence Logistics Capability Integration (DLCI) will:
Support the development and application of the Defence Logistics Authority (DLA) Framework.Support the DLA-Delegate (Commander Joint Logistics Command) in preparation for Defence Committees by developing and maintaining the Critical Operating Issues list, liaising with stakeholders, preparing briefs, and representing Joint Logistics Command (JLC), as required.Facilitate Logistics SME advice to ensure effective logistics support to Defence through engagement and relationship building with Domain/Service Logistics staff and supporting the development of logistics strategies, concepts, plans (artefacts) and capability integration.Report key Defence Logistics Network (DLN) / JLC risks.Support the development of JP8218 Theatre Logistics capability target state and capability definition.Manage and develop the Directorate workforce.Additional tasking in support of the Director - DLCI.About Our TeamYou will be part of JLC's Logistics Capability Branch. The Branch is integral to JLC's mission of enabling Australian Defence Force (ADF) operations and readiness through effective and efficient logistics. Logistics Capability Branch sponsors and manages logistics capability development, delivery, and integration through the One Defence Capability System. The Branch is accelerating the development of Theatre Logistics capability in response to the National Defence Strategy and Integrated Investment Program.
