Exciting Opportunity: Deputy Country Director for Arnhem Land. Would you like to be instrumental in helping MAF to achieve our vision? Can you inspire a team? Work with local partners, regulatory authorities and officials to achieve the program's goals? We are Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF)! We are a nonprofit organisation that has been using light aircraft to deliver help and hope for over 75 years across more than 30 developing countries. MAF transports patients, relief workers, produce, and medical supplies to some of the world's most remote and needy regions—places where flying is not a luxury but a lifeline. Our team is driven by a passion to make a difference and serve those who are in need. As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking for a dynamic and committed individual to join our Arnhem Land team as the Deputy Country Director. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Country Director in the development and implementation of MAF's strategic and ministry plans, and objectives. Provide support to the Country Director in the management of human, material, and financial resources to ensure efficient and effective operations. Oversee day-to-day operations and provide leadership to department heads, ensuring all activities are aligned with MAF's mission and values. Identify and develop potential partnerships with other organisations and agencies in the country to expand MAF's impact and reach. Foster a positive and productive work environment by providing mentorship, guidance, and support to team members. Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations, as well as MAF's policies and procedures. Represent MAF at relevant meetings, conferences, and events and promote the organisation's mission and values. Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Aptitude in verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning. Excellent spoken and written English. Graduate or equivalent experience. Either team management experience and/or project management experience involving working with others. Able to read and interpret financial reports. Strong interpersonal skills. Confident dealing with IT hardware/software. Excellent administrative skills. Thorough knowledge of MS office applications. Cross-cultural management experience. Experience of working in an aviation or related field is preferred. Experience of living and working in a developing country and/or mission is preferred.
