Our client is seeking a Media and Communications Associate Manager to join their dynamic team in Melbourne CBD. This role offers an attractive salary of $125K + 16.5% Super, reflecting the level of expertise required for this position. You will be responsible for monitoring relevant media and current affairs developments, identifying opportunities for media exposure, and contributing to the maintenance of a strong brand presence across various platforms. Your excellent research skills will enable you to produce accurate, easily understood materials and publications that effectively communicate our client's mission. Additionally, you will represent the team in change management initiatives and other projects as required.
Oversee and allocate activities of the Communications and Media teamMonitor relevant media and current affairs developmentsWork proactively with the team to identify media, communication and publication opportunitiesContribute to maintenance of a strong brand including impactful publications, websites and social media contentApply sound research and written communications skills to produce accurate, easily understood materials and publicationsProvide representation for and participate in change management and other projects as requiredWhat you bring: The ideal candidate for this Media and Communications Associate Manager role will bring a wealth of experience from a background in journalism, public relations or communications. Your proven track record in media issues management or journalism will be key to your success in this role. Your strong research abilities coupled with your exceptional writing skills will enable you to tell compelling stories that resonate with our audience. Your ability to lead small teams or mentor/support other team members will be crucial in this role. Lastly, your strong critical thinking capacity will allow you to navigate complex situations with ease.
