JOBDESCRIPTION: About the position
The Western Australian Legislative Assembly is seeking applications for the position of Deputy Clerk of the Legislative Assembly. The Deputy Clerk works closely with the Clerk and provides advice to the Speaker, Ministers, members of Parliament and parliamentary committees on parliamentary law, practice and procedure.
The Deputy Clerk performs Table of the House duties and assists the Clerk in the management and administration of the Department of the Legislative Assembly. The Deputy Clerk participates in departmental strategic and corporate governance planning and is responsible for budgeting and day-to-day financial governance. The Deputy Clerk also represents the Clerk in meetings, negotiations and conferences as required. More information about the position can be found in the Job Description.
