Deputy City Attorney

The Deputy City Attorney assists in representing the City inassigned civil litigation cases, advises City Departments, CityCouncil and City Boards and Commissions on a variety of legalmatters and prepares, reviews, and examines contracts,agreements, briefs, bid protests, dispute resolutions, changeorders, delay claims, ordinances, and other legal documents.
Qualifications: Requirements include Graduation from a law school accredited bythe American Bar Association with a Juris Doctorate degree,preferably with a specialization or emphasis on municipal law andtwo (2) years of experience practicing law in the State ofCalifornia, preferably with some experience in general municipallaw. This position may be required to work on evening, weekendsand holidays.
