Working at CQUniversityThe Deputy Chief Wellbeing Officer plays a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and oversight for Student Counselling, Accessibility and Equity, and Chaplaincy Services across CQUniversity's national footprint.
This position focuses on implementing collaborative, best-practice initiatives to enhance student retention, achieve positive graduate outcomes, and deliver an exceptional student experience for CQUniversity's diverse student community.
Key priorities include driving institution-wide strategies such as the Disability-Informed Action Plan (currently in development) and Mindwaves 2.0, CQUniversity's Mental Health and Wellbeing Plan.
Reporting to the Chief Wellbeing Officer, the Deputy Chief Wellbeing Officer leads the University's response to student critical incidents, applying trauma-informed, student-centred practices that emphasise building staff capability.
This position proactively oversees multiple teams within the Wellbeing Directorate, fostering a participative and empowering environment while promoting leadership development and psychological safety.
