What you'll be doing The Deputy Chief Radiation Therapist (DCRT) will work with the Chief Radiation Therapist (CRT) in providing high-level leadership and effective management of the radiation therapy staff and clinical services of the Mid North Coast Cancer Institute (MNCCI) Radiation Oncology Department. Current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner, Radiation Therapist with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPB) and NSW Environmental Protection Authority licence to use ionising radiation. Consistently demonstrate behaviour that reinforces the CORE Values of NSW Health; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrate these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as patients, carers and consumers. Extensive experience in radiation therapy simulation, planning (including CT), treatment delivery and providing patient care. Demonstrable ability to manage within a multi-disciplinary department using contemporary methods for communication, performance management, conflict management and leadership of change. Demonstrated skills implementing improvements in patient care, treatment techniques and staff organisation Demonstrated skills in fostering the continuing professional development of staff and a commitment to teaching and research. Demonstrated understanding of Risk Management processes and systems and their relationship to quality patient care, a safe working environment and organisational outcomes.
