Team Overview
The ICT Operations team manages delivery of Comcare's Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) infrastructure, including sourcing required ICT capabilities and managing ICT contract delivery.

The Deputy Chief Information Officer leads the ICT Operations team and is responsible for managing technology investments and strategic sourcing of ICT services, ensuring Comcare's IT investments support business objectives and provide value for money.
The role has carriage of ICT sourcing and contract management for Comcare.
The Deputy Chief Information Officer reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and works closely with the Director, Procurement, Property and Security (responsible for Comcare's Central Procurement).
The role has a high level of engagement with Comcare business stakeholders, partners, suppliers, and other government agencies.
Primary Responsibilities: In collaboration with the CIO (ICT Strategy), contribute to the development and operationalisation of Comcare's ICT and Digital Strategy, ensuring alignment with the agency's broader strategic plans Provide strategic advice to guide decision making with respect to establishing Comcare's future ICT capability needs and strategies Develop and implement ICT investment strategies aligned with organisational goals, and prioritise and allocate resources effectively Oversee ICT asset management for the agency, ensuring that Comcare maintains access to the ICT capabilities and facilities that it requires Manage ICT sourcing and oversee the establishment and management of ICT contracts to ensure agreements align with Comcare's strategic objectives Manage vendor performance and the provision of services/products in accordance with contractual arrangements, service level agreements and KPI's Provide advice and support to project managers across the agency on the management of ICT project components and related expenditure Manage provision of a helpdesk service for Comcare with a focus on the provision of support for staff using IT and business systems Develop and implement robust IT security strategies and continuity plans, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards Work closely with line areas to develop business cases/requests that demonstrate IT benefits realisation, and act as a liaison between IT and business units to ensure technology solutions meet strategic needs.
Qualifications and Experience
Highly Desirable: Tertiary degree and/or equivalent experience in ICT Sourcing and/or Technology Business Engagement Desirable A background in technology procurement, contract management, ICT vendor management, and financial management of IT services #J-18808-Ljbffr
