This organisation offers a supportive environment with a focus on continuous improvement and strategic thinking.Your new roleAs the EL1 Deputy Chief Financial Officer, you will manage various finance functions, including:Advising on procurement activities and confirming fund availability.Reviewing and improving processes, systems, and delegations.Enhancing the acquittal process for credit card and travel accounts.Drafting financial governance documents in line with Whole of Government (WoG) requirements.Contributing to Financial Statements and Budget submissions.Developing and delivering finance training across the organisation.Managing a busy inbox and responding to queries.Advising on budgets and accounting requirements at month and year-end.Performing other finance-related duties as required.This role is available as a non-ongoing or temporary transfer, with part-time working arrangements considered.What you'll need to succeedTo excel in this role, you will need:The ability to establish processes and think strategically in a newly established agency.A can-do attitude, high integrity, and sound judgement.Resilience in a fast-paced, challenging, and complex environment.A business-focused mindset to meet tight timeframes and manage competing priorities.Innovation and a positive culture of continuous improvement.What you'll get in returnYou'll be part of a flexible, diverse, and inclusive workplace that offers an attractive remuneration package, including generous employer superannuation contributions.
