!The Shire of Yalgoo is seeking to appoint a motivated Deputy Chief Executive Officer to lead the corporate and community services team and support the CEO to deliver on the Council's strategic and corporate objectives.Covering approximately 33,257 square kilometres of the Murchison Goldfields area of Western Australia, the Shire of Yalgoo offers a unique experience with its stunning outback scenery, rich gold mining history, abundant wildlife, and clear, unpolluted skies for stargazing, all while providing a chance to immerse yourself in the local community and enjoy the tranquillity of remote Australian life.The role will see you lead and manage the daily operations of the Shire to ensure that the finance, administration, information technology, customer service and community services functions are delivered effectively and efficiently.
Strong financial management skills are key for this role to ensure accurate and timely financial and management reports to Council including the preparation of the budget and Annual Reporting.
This role will also require you to have a sound understanding of Community Services and how these services impact on the Community to ensure services are delivered to the standards and expectations of the Community and Council.The position comprises a remuneration package of up to $174,750, which includes the unlimited use of a vehicle (within WA), 11.5% superannuation, payment of professional memberships and regional/isolation allowance.
In addition, the position provides rent-free housing, matched salary sacrificed superannuation of up to 5%, and five weeks annual leave each year.
Employment is offered under a three to five-year contract and given the seniority of the role, a flexible approach to hours worked is required but will be compensated with regular RDOs.To be considered for the DCEO position with the Shire of Yalgoo, applicants must provide an updated copy of their resumes and address the selection questions as detailed in the Application Package.
