Montefiore has an outstanding opportunity for a driven, engaged, and adaptable Deputy Care Manager to join the team at our Hunters Hill campus.
The Role:
Reporting to the Executive Care Manager, overarchingly, you will oversee the delivery of quality care services to our consumers and ensure that the unit always maintains regulatory compliance. You will work collaboratively with our Clinical Nurse Specialist, Registered Nurses and Assistant Nurses in upholding clinical excellence by promoting and driving a culture of continuous learning and development.
In this varied role, some of your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Advising on clinical issues
Driving AN-ACC
Promoting best practice
Assisting with admissions
Medication management
Documentation
Managing staff
Assisting the Executive Care Manager with rostering
Essential Criteria:
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience
Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation standards and understanding of continuous improvement
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in AN-ACC
Extensive experience supporting consumers living with dementia
Previous experience managing staff
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Well-developed organisational skills
Experience with rostering
Experience in palliative care will be highly regarded
