THE ROLE
The Deputy Area Operations Manager is responsible for operational management across the local area including financial, budget, HR and performance management of staff, high profile case reviews and completion of ministerial briefings. The position leads practice to develop plans to bring about the changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development of children and young people and to promote the achievement of case plan objectives within specified timeframes.
The position will work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders and directly supervises the Child Protection Team Managers and Practice Leaders in the local area.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
Provide authoritative and strategic advice and professional expertise to the Child Protection Area Operations Manager/Assistant Director. Monitor and manage an area based child protection program, including key business and financial metrics and key performance indicators within the local area to ensure that program targets, performance objectives and statutory responsibilities are met, delivering effective service delivery. Establish, manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and demonstrate expert skills in the management of staff, including Team Managers and Practice Leaders. Please open the position description to read more. WORKING IN RURAL VICTORIA INCENTIVE External applicants relocating to a regional area could be eligible for up to $20,500 worth of incentives. Internal applicants relocating to a regional area could be eligible for up to $15,500 worth of incentives. If you live and work in an area classified as 'remote' by the Australian Tax Office, you may also be eligible for additional salary packaging arrangements, such as mortgage interest, rental costs, and residential utilities.
