Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Full timeWe are seeking a motivated Cargo Terminal Manager based at our Depth Defence Logistics Centre at our East Arm, Darwin cargo terminal.We primarily serve Defence and government supply chains and provide all normal container freight station services for import and export cargo by air or sea.
This includes DAFF washing and treatments.This role requires development of cargo handling capabilities and building a team initially in Darwin, offering professional growth opportunities as we expand operations beyond Queensland, Northern Territory, and Western Australia.This role is best suited to someone with a "hands-on" management style who has worked their way up to supervisory/management roles.
It requires ensuring the company's compliance with DAFF Approved Arrangement & Defence security requirements.About you:You must have at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in similar container freight stations.You must be able to cost cargo operations and be accountable for the profitability of this department.An Australian Defence Force background is desirable but not essential.Possessing a WADSIC and/or MSIC card is desirable.You must be flexible for occasional night or weekend operations when required.You must be able to achieve an Australian Dept of Defence security clearance if required.A strong focus on safety, security & confidentiality is required.Clear understanding of DAFF washing and treatment operations.You must possess sound knowledge in container and flat rack packing procedures.Teamwork is essential with our road transport team to facilitate efficient and timely cargo operations.You must have good customer relationship skills.The salary will be commensurate with experience, and there is a performance-linked quarterly bonus available for all team members.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
