The Departmental Liaison Officer works within a Departmental team to represent the Department in a Minister's office by providing administrative and support services and advice to facilitate the effective and efficient operation of the office, contributing to the achievement of Department and Government commitments.
The role assists with the coordination of routine briefs and correspondence, reports and responses to parliamentary questions for the Minister.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the ability to operate effectively in a complex, sensitive and changing environment, with superior organisational, prioritisation and time management skills and capacity to work well under pressure.
You pride yourself in delivering superior services and support and will have operational experience in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
You are a team-oriented person however can confidently work autonomously, proactively identifying what needs to be done and working through available materials and resources to resolve or escalate as required.
With your confidence and ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, you are committed to developing and maintaining strong networks and collaborative relationships to ensure objectives are met.
