Every day is different, and so is every team within the department.As Our Departmental Liaison Officer, You WillWork collaboratively with the Director, Office of the Director-General and the Executive Services Unit to facilitate the interface between Ministerial offices, the department and key stakeholders on a range of portfolio and whole-of-Government priorities and initiatives, ensuring the highest standard of professional, efficient and confidential service is maintained.Apply a high-level understanding of departmental priorities, initiatives and strategic issues to coordinate, review and prepare timely advice, Ministerial correspondence and briefing notes for consideration by the Office of the Director-General and the Ministerial offices.Work closely with the Director, Office of the Director-General and the Executive Services Unit to review and co-ordinate the workflow of executive and Ministerial correspondence, briefing notes, deputation briefs and Ministerial trip briefs by liaising and consulting with internal and external clients regarding sensitive and confidential matters, monitoring important issues and following up on action required in line with departmental priorities.Develop and maintain effective networks and working relationships within the department, external agencies, Ministerial offices and key stakeholders to ensure proactive responses to emergent and contentious issues.Liaise with the Director, Office of the Director-General and the Executive Services Unit to ensure that the Ministerial briefing folders prepared by the department are accurate and meet agreed timeframes for the Parliamentary Estimates Hearings, Regional Community Forums, National Ministerial Councils/Committee Meetings and Parliamentary sittings.Undertake or participate in research, investigative and project tasks as required by the Director-General, Ministerial offices and Director.What We Are Looking ForWe are seeking the best-suited candidate for the role.
