Department Support Officer
Full-time PermanentDetails: CIT is seeking self-motivated individuals with high-level administrative skills to work in the Trade Skills College within the High Risk and Plumbing departments.
The successful applicants will be responsible for high-level administrative support to the Head of Department with functions such as recruitment, staff induction, procurement, finances, risk management, event management, student enrolments, timetabling, promotional strategies, and quality assurance on educational resources and assessment tools.
Demonstrated high levels of customer service and effective communication along with well-developed skills and knowledge in a range of IT systems including student management, Office 365, and the ability to interrogate and develop administrative systems and processes are essential.
The successful applicants will:
Manage the reception area including providing information to prospective and current students, along with providing support to the whole department, including support for committees and projects, and recording minutes of meetings.Exercise judgment to interpret guidelines and procedures to seek resolution of issues arising from enquiries and work tasks.We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community.
