The Design, Evaluation and Monitoring Team are looking for an engaging, competent and agile Principal Project Officer with excellent data and evaluation skills to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support community-led, place based, culturally safe delivery of our programs with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and to contribute to delivery of Closing the Gap reforms.

Job duration: Temporary to 30 June 2025 with possible extension
Your contribution and key responsibilities: Provide high level administrative program design, internal evaluation and monitoring analyst functions. Prepare and present accurate, clear, evidenced and complex reports, submissions, briefing notes and other documents on complex initiatives to meet stakeholder needs. Develop partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders to guide the implementation of our programs integral to current and future policy driver intent. Liaise, negotiate and collaborate with partner agencies on a range of government activities. Represent the Department in inter-departmental and inter-governmental meetings if required. Identify, develop and analyse policy and data to inform program delivery options relating to whole of government reform and enabling local decision-making. Recognise and articulate the interests of Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islander people and support community engagement and co-design processes in accordance with cultural protocols.
