Northern Territory Correctional Services (NTCS) performs an essential role in our community and the criminal justice system. Our work is complex, and we often work under difficult circumstances, but the job is rewarding.
Community Corrections services the entire Northern Territory with regional offices in Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine and Tennant Creek with smaller offices located in Nhulunbuy, Groote Eylandt and Wadeye. We reach almost 80 communities. We are seeking expressions of interest for current and upcoming positions in our Alice Springs, Katherine and Tennant Creek offices.
A career as a Probation and Parole Officer (PPO) with NT Community Corrections is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to make a difference in your community.
In the role you will work as part of a collaborative and dynamic team to provide comprehensive case management to address behaviour change and ensure individuals comply with their orders and associated conditions.
PPOs work closely with community networks to maintain stakeholder relationships to facilitate access to therapeutic and rehabilitative pathways.
Community Corrections are looking for applicants who ideally have experience as a Probation and Parole officer or who:

Tennant Creek - The Barkly is a region between Alice Springs and Darwin, 500 kilometres north of the former and 1,000 kilometres south of the latter, centred on Tennant Creek. In this stunning outback region, you'll find sprawling cattle stations, attractive wayside inns, historic stock routes as well as relics of gold mining and Aboriginal culture.
