This is a TEMPORARY, INTERMITTENT position in the Administrative Services Division (ASD), Office of Security Management (SM), Construction, Facility, and Security Management Directorate (CFSM), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO). The position serves as a Site Security Manager responsible for providing security administration oversight and direction at a specific job site throughout the lifespan of a construction project.

NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service, which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience serving as a technical authority for the development and interpretation of security guidelines and regulations that address security measures. Experience applying principles of architect building construction and materials engineering to ensure security concerns are fully integrated into the overall construction plan and effort. Experience formulating and managing budgets and directing the expenditure of funds in accordance with guidelines. Experience implementing, maintaining, and developing multiple rings of security on an active embassy compound and a green construction site, ensuring the security of construction projects and the protection of classified information. There is no substitute for education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
