About the role The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is seeking a Group Director Research Assurance to drive an integrated and commercially robust end-to-end operating model which enables proactive funding, development and delivery of high quality, reliable and highly regarded research services and outcomes which create opportunities and add value for government, industry, research partners and key stakeholders. These responsibilities are delivered through implementation of robust governance, risk and assurance frameworks, and a commitment to return on investment and alignment with government priorities.
The Group Director is a member of the Agriculture and Biosecurity Group Executive Leadership Team, participating in strategic planning and decision making processes at a Group level.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated experience at senior executive level, and a proven track record of successful organisational, system and cultural change management. Proven capability to contribute to strategic decision making and manage a portfolio of significant property assets across the state. Ability to foster successful service delivery partnerships. Sound understanding of issues faced by the NSW regions, and an appreciation of the diversity of primary industries, producers and communities. You will be someone who can: Anticipate, respond to and mitigate arising issues to ensure effective support for and optimisation of research services and assurance processes. Design and implement successful change management strategies and effective communication models to achieve high levels of employee engagement through change. Act as the driving force behind state of the art research stations to support Agriculture and Biosecurity Research in NSW.
