About the role: The Senior Project and Program Officer plays an important role in helping to protect our state by leading the development of strategic and whole of agency policy, project, and property deliverables related to emergency management.
Responsibilities include: Prepare high-level correspondence, reports, and submissions.
Undertake in-depth research, analysis, investigation, and evaluations.
Participate in response and other incident teams and emergency management exercises to support the department's emergency preparedness.
Located in Hobart or Launceston (to be negotiated).
Our ideal candidate has: Effective judgement and risk assessment skills with the ability to use initiative and work autonomously.
A highly developed understanding of operational frameworks, regulations, and policies.
High-level communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
A Certificate III or Certificate IV qualification in emergency management or equivalent is desirable.
A current driver's licence.
