Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight- flexible options available.
Duties Develop, implement and review strategies and initiatives to improve the department's work health and safety and injury management performance. Provide advice and support to Agency Executive, output and other senior Managers of the Department to deal with complex issues and deliver contemporary programs, policies and practices related to safety and injury management. Lead and manage the department's work health and safety and injury management unit fostering a collaborative approach which is responsive to stakeholder needs and compliant with relevant legislation, awards and directions. Oversee the management of workers' compensation administration, injury management and return to work activities and take a leading role in the reporting and governance arrangements for injury management and workplace health and safety in the Department. Establish and maintain strong communication links and relationships with relevant stakeholders including output managers, employee organisations, service providers and other relevant groups. Manage the human, physical, financial and information resources of the unit in accordance with Government and departmental policies, guidelines and directions and encourage and facilitate the personal development, performance management and succession planning for staff within the unit.
